The largest advantage of PPC marketing is that it allows businesses of all sizes, from small local firms to large global corporations, to compete in almost any online market using a cost-per-click model instead of a cost--thousand impressions model. The PPC marketer pays for someone's visit and have to bid against other PPC advertisers for keywords.


PPC is a measurable model, the advertiser only pays when the ad is clicked. It's basically gambling and your options are pay a professional to handle it for you or gamble yourself.


Many PPC providers use Google Analytics, a resource which records and provides statistics for website traffic, leading sources and page views. This means they can accurately determine how many visitors are clicking on their ads to access site content or specific product pages and offers insights as to which words are more profitable.



A typical PPC campaign takes about 6 months to optimize because you need to find negative keyword variations and locations to avoid getting clicks for words you do not want to pay for. This can be expensive but the first 6 months are pretty luck based unless you have enough money to offset the bad clicks. Great strategy for short term success and sales, but you'll always be paying per click.

Search engines want to be able to catalog all of the content on the internet for their users. SEO helps search engines do that by including “metadata” within webpages to help search engines determine whether the topic of your page fits your customer's search well enough to be shown first. SEO also ensures that your webpage follows best practices in terms of keyword choice, link structure, site design, and much more.


This SEO metadata includes keywords, which help people find your website in search results when they are searching for related topics or products (with SEO keyword research). And if your website ranks high enough (using SEO ranking factors), you will start to receive a significant amount of traffic from people who would never have known about you otherwise, increasing your company’s reach dramatically. SEO is a great lead generation tool that can bring you “free” customers and prospects through organic search.


In SEO, link building is still very important because it helps search engines better understand the context of a particular webpage and how it relates to other pieces of content on the internet. Keyword use in internal links is also an SEO best practice which ensures users will be able to find related content when they click through to another page on your website (search for SEO link building if this interests you more).


SEO continues to evolve as a practice thanks to ongoing algorithm updates from major search engines like Google and Bing, but its core principles remain unchanged. SEO will always be a more passive lead generation method and takes time to implement.



The cost for SEO is mainly for the project manager (SEO Professional), the links, and the writers who will produce the content. Once you are ranking for a profitable keyword your profits will begin to soar. We have clients who are on the second page for major keywords generating leads but it took 6-12 months to get there as the competition is tough.
